Yes, Louis Gates Jr. is a douche bag. There I said it. I don’t know why everyone else is so afraid to say it. An ass hole is an ass hole regardless of race, and this guy is a huge one. For those who haven’t been following the story, I’ll nutshell it for ya…
This guy Gates is a black university professor. Does it matter that he’s black? Not to anyone but him. See, this idiot (who’s a waste of payroll anyway since he doesn’t study and teach anything of any real import) comes back from a trip to China and he forgot his house keys. So as he’s trying to break into his own house, which is something many of us have had to do at some point in our lives, a conscientious person sees him and calls the police, reporting that someone’s trying to break into the house. The cops show up, and officer Crowley goes through the normal investigative procedure with him. Nothing special, he just confirmed the guy lived there and asked him to step outside in case there was actually someone else in the house. That’s when this Gates idiot goes off on this huge and incredibly unreasonable rant about how this is how black men are treated in America and all this other bullshit. The cop finally got him to come outside I guess and the guy was just being a loud, unreasonable ass with his rant outside too. Finally the cop arrested him for disorderly conduct, which is damn straight what he should have done. He even had a Latino officer backing him up, and he confirmed the circumstances of the arrest. Then that douche bag Obama, who’s apparently friends with this idiot, sticks his nose in where it doesn’t belong and basically calls the cop’s actions stupid, when not only did he have no real knowledge of the incident, but he’s also friends with Gates, and therefore pre-biased and in no position to be stating an opinion about anything publicly.
Now there are people who actually have the nerve to go on news shows and defend this douche bag Gates, and an even bigger douche bag, the Cambridge City Manager, Robert Healy, is basically falling all over himself with his hand wringing and forming this big expensive panel (at taxpayer expense I’m sure) to look into the matter and see what lessons were learned and how they can adjust their procedures to avoid incidents like this in the future.
I’ll tell you how to avoid it. Stop using the god damn race card every time you don’t like something that’s going on. It’s not always about race people. Sometimes it’s just because you deserve what’s happening because of your own actions, or it’s something that’s happening that’s not in your control. We all go through stuff like that. Deal with it and stop being a bunch of whiny ass holes. All you’re doing by falsely screaming racism every time you don’t like something is making it harder for those who really are victims of racism.
Do you know why there’s still racism? Want me to tell you? Ok, I will. It’s actually attributable to three main reasons.
1. It’s human nature. People feel more comfortable around people of their own race and are more amenable to those who are like them. If you think blacks aren’t racist too, you’re SORELY mistaken. Blacks are actually worse with their racist comments and attitudes than whites. Whites try generally to be sensitive about it, yet you have black comedians, politicians, activists, etc… constantly making racist jokes and comments against white people. You don’t hear white people screaming about how racist that is. Yet when Ross Perot says, “You people” when he was speaking at a black organization thing, you’d have thought that all he was missing was a damn KKK outfit, because that’s how people reacted. Like it or not, humans are groups, and each group has it’s own culture and standards of thought and behavior.
2. Different races have different cultural aspects to them that can make people of other races uncomfortable. Our cultural behaviors don’t all match up, and people of one race look at how people of another race are thinking and behaving and they don’t approve of it because it’s different than how they think and behave, which leads to negative feelings about the group.
3. People in this day and age are still in the habit of separating their identities by choice. Blacks call themselves African Americans, Mexicans are Mexican Americans, Asians are Asian Americans, etc… You know what? We’re all Americans. So if you really want to get rid of race problems, start acting like Americans and get rid of those other identities. As long as you hold on to those, you’ll always be separating yourself and your race out from everyone else, and keeping people divided along ethnic lines. You people (yes I said it, and it goes for anyone who wants to pull this crap) need to look around you and figure out where you’re living. You’re not living in Africa or Mexico or Asia, you’re all Americans. We’re one nation of one people with a culture that binds us despite our racial divides. So wise up and start acting like it and you might find you have an easier time in life when you’re not walking around with that “poor me” mentality anymore.
Oh, and this poor lady who actually called the police because she was trying to be a conscientious citizen…, well she’s now being demonized as some racist too for reporting that a black man was breaking into a house. You know what? This lady never once used the term “black” in her call. She simply said there appeared to be someone breaking into a house. Again, we have a bunch of ass holes looking to demonize someone as racist who simply isn’t. It’s not fair to her and all it does is make the people who are doing it look like a bunch of race baiting jerks.
Hey Gates, you should be on your knees thanking this cop for even showing up at your house to check it out. You could have really been getting robbed. Even though you weren’t, this guy shows up and is doing his best to make sure everything is ok and on the up and up, and all you do is give him a big rash of shit for it. So you know what? To hell with you. I hope your house does get robbed next time. We’ll see how eager the cops are to respond to your troubles after the way you’ve treated this poor cop who was only doing his job. You’re an ass, and that’s all I have to say about it.(Current Mood: angry)
