Ok, what the hell’s going on in Russia anyway?

A woman from Russia’s Siberian region of Irkutsk has been arrested for killing a friend and then eating part of the corpse, Interfax news agency reported, quoting local investigators.

The incident occurred on March 5 when the two women were drinking together at the suspect’s home and an argument broke out between them.

“Investigators have information to suggest the woman cooked pieces of her murdered friend and ate them,” said an official with the Russian prosecutor’s investigative committee, Vladimir Salovarov.

He added that the perpetrator killed her friend with an axe and that uneaten parts of the victim’s body had been found in a nearby waste bin.

The detained woman had confessed her guilt, Salovarov said.

In a separate case, prosecutors in Russia’s Udmurtiya region said last week they were searching for a man suspected of cannibalism after the mutilated body of a woman was found in the town of Izhevsk, according to the prosecutor’s website.

It wasn’t too long ago I posted a story here about two guys who killed a 16 year old girl in Russia and ate her.  Now here’s two more stories of cannibalism.  How is it that these people all seem to have vodka, but no food?  Jeez, remind me to never go to Russia.  Not that I would anyway, but man…that’s messed up.

Shame on you American Idol for the way you treated Kristin McNamara…

March 5th, 2009   3 Comments »

Ok, while there have been some good contestants that made it to the top 36 this year, there’s one in particular who has been completely screwed over by the American Idol judges, and that’s Kristin McNamara.  Not only is this girl very beautiful and very sweet, but she can really sing as well, and the judges screwed her over.  How?  By not focusing on her singing.  All they could ever talk about was her hair or her clothes, which I always thought were just as hot as she was.  Oh and, “she was having trouble defining herself as an artist” as well.  Riiiight.  Not only did she NOT pick a crappy song like so many of the others, but she sang the hell out of the one she did pick.  The judges were so critical of her hair, her clothes and her supposed lack of definition, that they never allowed her to be the standout contestant she should have been and that also influenced the voting, as people all tended to vote for the contestants they feel like the show is pushing.  And to top it all off, they didn’t even bring her back and give her another chance in the wild card round!

Oh, and by the way, she tried to change the way she dressed just to please them, and that didn’t suit them either, even though she looked really nice.  Then Kendall Beard comes out in this poofy, lime green potato sack and they can’t say enough nice things about her.  Um, excuse me but….huh?  What the hell is wrong with you people?

I’m just absolutely sickened by the way Kristin was treated.  I guess because she seemed kinda shy and sweet and quiet that they felt she wasn’t worth pushing.  Well that’s just wrong.

So Kristin, on the off chance you ever read this, I just want you to know that you did have supporters our there and people who wanted to see you make it through and get the chance you deserved, and I wish you all the best in getting your singing career going, in spite of the worthless judges on American Idol who never gave you a fair chance.
