Well you’ve gone and done it now. You screwed up and the Dems took back the house. You all probably don’t even know why, do you? I could tell ya. In fact, I will.
First off let me say, so you know where I’m coming from, that I’ve grown to hate most republicans as much as I hate democrats. I see the republicans as far less dangerous to our future…and my wallet though, so I always vote for them because none of the other parties have a chance of winning, which is an unfortunate thing in our system, but there you go.
Why do I hate democrats and republicans? Because I believe in individual freedom, and both democrats and republicans are anti-freedom. Democrats drive down any thoughts, speech or actions that don’t fall in lock step with their rantings, while the Republicans generally try to impose their religious Christian morals on everyone, which in and of itself is anti-individual freedom of thought and deed. Since I’m talking to the idiot republicans in this post, I’ll mention examples of how their actions have turned people off. Anyone who hates democrats knows how they turn people off. They’re a bunch of anti-American, tax raising, sellout schmucks who just sit around bitching rather than coming up with any realistic ideas for how to take America forward into the future.
So what about the Republicans? Well, their positions on the following are completely oppressive and anti-freedom.
Abortion
Gay Marriage
Stem Cell Research
All three of these items have massive numbers of people on each side of the issue. So what’s the answer? The answer is, stop imposing your religious morals on people who don’t want them by trying to suppress these things, stopping individual freedom of choice and holding back scientific progress, because there are people like me who support these things who also vote republican. I’m also an atheist, and the whole religious thing is a total turn off to me. But again, I’m a republican. I know I’m not the only one who feels like this either. The problem is, the party has become dominated by the religious right, which is becoming more and more oppressive and dominating over those who don’t follow their religious party lines.
Another reason the republicans screwed themselves in this election is because they were the party in power and failed completely and utterly to secure our borders. The republican party is wholly in the pockets of the big corporations and developers, and they like the cheap labor they get from hiring illegals. Screw everyone else, as long as the corporations get what they want, right? Wrong. The government is supposed to be for the people, not for the corporations. You sided with the corporations and sold out our jobs, our safety and our security.
Lastly, the war in Iraq totally screwed the republicans. Why? I made a post about that earlier in great detail. Look back several posts for my post about 9/11 and it’ll explain it all. In a nutshell though, they tied the hands of our military after they walked over Iraq in a stunning victory, and rather than allowing them to sweep the country and finish the job, crushing all resistance, they played politics with the war and got us involved in a quagmire that didn’t have to happen. They should have let the military run the operations instead of sticking their wussy politician noses into it. The military knows how to fight wars. Politicians don’t. So if they had just let them do what they are best at and finish the job, we wouldn’t even be talking about this right now, because it would all be over and we’d have long ago moved on to the next country full of scumbags.
So why am I a republican if I have so many problems with the party? Because the democratic party is dominated by far left, anti-american socialists who don’t care squat about our security or our military and would sell out our sovereignty to the United Nations, which in and of itself is an anti-freedom socialist / communist organization who would just as soon put the whole world under their control in a one world government.
Thanks to the republicans and their idiocy, forcing their religious morals on people, playing politics with the war, etc…, now the democrats have taken back the house and queen moron Nancy Peloci will be taking over as speaker of the house and putting schmucks like Charles Wrangle in chairmanship positions. You know Charles Wrangle. He’s that gravel voiced schmuck that wants to bring back the draft.
So I suggest that all you idiot republicans take a step back and look long and hard at why people are so pissed off at the way you’ve been running things, and work a little harder at accepting the differences in America and giving people the freedoms that so many American soldiers have paid for with their blood throughout the history of this nation. As far as I’m concerned, far left democrats are traitors, and that’s one of the VERY few reasons I still vote for republicans. I just wish the independent, constitution or even the libertarian parties had a real chance to win, so we could get those republican and democrat career politicians out of there and really clean house, filling the government with people who actually care about America instead of just caring about their own wallets and how they can benefit by doing favors for corporations and the rich.
