For the first time in the history of Latvian medicine doctors have sewn a man’s penis back on, which he had cut off on a bet, LTV channel reports. Doctors from Gailezertz hospital told journalists that previously they had only sewn partly amputated penises back on. But this time the penis was brought in a plastic package. They believe the cause of the tragedy was the victims’ stupidity: After a drinking-bout the victim bet that he would cut off his “men’s merit” for 1000 Lats (about 2000 dollars). He won the bet. The 30-year-old man was delivered to the hospital July 17. He was operated on by plastic surgeon Aivars Tihonov. Doctors told the Delfi news agency that the patient has lost a lot of blood. The surgery lasted 3 1/2 hours. “Now I think that the patient is in good condition,” Tikhonov said. “But we will be able to asses the results of the survey only after a few days, and say if the body will accept the organ back. We have to take into account that in the summer heat tissues die faster. The penis was covered with sand or something like that, so even though we have given antibiotics to the patient, serious infection can still spread. Different factors influence the process of the sewing — the state of health of the patient, the volume of lost blood, smoking — any cigarette can cause the spasm of vessels.”  In the world, similar operations are very seldom — approximately once a year. If the penis is cut off in many cases it is almost impossible to sew it back on, the surgeon said.

Honestly, they should have just left it off.  People this stupid shouldn’t be allowed to breed anyway.  Still, it’s not as stupid as the guy who cut off his own penis while sober just because his favorite team lost some soccer game.  Yes, that actually happened, and he didn’t even get anything out of it except a severed penis.  At least this guy got $2,000…which should cover about 10% of the medical costs of re-attaching it.  Idiot.

A MILITANT Islamic group has filed a police report against Indonesia’s Miss Universe candidate, accusing her of indecency. Nadine Chandrawinata’s participation in the contest and display of her body in a swimsuit “is actually insulting for Indonesian dignity and women”, Islamic Defenders Front lawyer Sugito said yesterday. Ms Chandrawinata did not make it to the competition’s final in Los Angeles on Sunday, which was won by Miss Puerto Rico, but she had drawn heavy media coverage in Indonesia. Mr Sugito said the Islamic Defenders Front had also filed complaints against four people involved in sponsoring and organising Ms Chandrawinata’s participation. Under Indonesian law, police would have to investigate whether there was sufficient evidence for a case under the complaint, and if so, turn their findings over to prosecutors for a decision on whether it merited going to court. The offences carried potential sentences ranging from two to six years in jail, Mr Sugito said. The posing requirements of the competition offended the standards not just of Islam but of other religions, he said. A government decree against participation in beauty contests issued when strongman Suharto was president is still technically in effect in Indonesia, although in practice it has been disregarded since he lost power in 1998. About 85 per cent of Indonesia’s 220 million people follow Islam, making it the world’s most populous Muslim country. Although most Indonesian Muslims are considered relatively moderate and the Government is officially secular, hardline groups are becoming increasingly vocal and visible. The result has been a tug-of-war in Indonesian politics over the extent to which religious values should be reflected in the law. The Islamic Defenders Front has filed complaints with the police on other issues previously. Critics say it encourages such vigilante tactics as attacking bars selling alcohol during the Muslim fasting period. An April protest organised by the group against the Indonesian edition of Playboy magazine was marked by rock throwing and vandalism.

You hear about crap like this all the time, and it baffles me how anyone can claim that islam is a religion of peace. It’s a religion that brainwashes people (as all religions do) and has no respect for individual freedoms or the rights of people to live their lives however they see fit. It creates a culture of bullies and thugs who try to impose their will on everyone and take their brainwashing to new levels, and yet people are so afraid to stand up to it. If the more moderate and normal people in the muslim communities want to convince people that islam isn’t an evil religion that creates terrorists and thugs, then they need to start cleaning their own house and coming out hard and strong against this sort of thing. You almost never see any of the normal people in the muslim community standing up to these idiots and taking a stand against the ignorance and backwards thinking that they represent. Until they do, and until the world wakes up and puts these scumbags in their place, they’re just going to continue using bullying and terroristic behavior to impose their will on everyone. That’s why we’re in the middle of World War III now. For years the EU and other countries have been hand wringing over the “plight of the Palestenians” and the “suffering of the arab people”. It’s a load of crap. They bring it on themselves through their own ignorance and attempts to keep the world back in the dark ages. Appeasement of these thugs only emboldens them to continue their behavior. You know the old saying, walk softly and carry a big stick? Well the only way to deal with these people is to scream loudly, throw away the stick and get yourself a big ol’ sledge hammer, because that’s all they understand. The world can’t let these people win. If they do, the whole planet will become a waking nightmare of oppression, brutality and brainwashing. Basically anything that made life worth living will cease to exist. You may think I’m over stating the case, but I’m not. Need I remind you about the story of the “morality police” in Saudi Arabia several years ago that forced sixteen girls to die in a school dorm fire beacuse they ran out of the burning building without putting on their buquas? They wouldn’t let them out of the courtyard and actually forced them back into the building because they dared to come out without their modest clothes on. Again, this is what we’re up against, and we can’t let these people win. That’s why it’s so important to support Israel in their fight and to support any freedom loving nations that stand up against these backward idiots. I’ll make some more amusing posts now as well, but I thought it was important for people to hear this kind of thing too beacuse it goes on every day more and more. Someday it could happen on your own doorstep. Think about it.

Ok, this is hilarious.  This guy was drunk and led police on a car chase.  When his truck runs out of gas though, he actually gets out and pushes it down the road for like five minutes with the cops behind him.  You really gotta see this.

MAGNOLIA, Del.- A Magnolia man sustained burns to his hand and face after using gunpowder to light to up his barbecue grill Monday night. The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office says the incident was reported just before 11:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Graves Lane, Meadowbrook Acres Trailer Park. Paramedics responded to the home after a man called 911 and complained of burns to his hand and face. State fire investigators were called to the scene and are investigating the incident. Investigators say the 50-year-old man was burned when he intentionally poured gunpowder in a charcoal grill and ignited the powder causing a flash fire. The man sustained third-degree burns to the hand he used to ignite the black powder. He also experience first-degree burns to his face and singed his hair. He was taken to Kent General Hospital for treatment. The fire self-extinguished and no fire damage occurred. The charcoal grill was outside in the yard when the incident occurred. Investigators believe alcohol played a part in this incident. The incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office.

Ok, when I read this I was busting up laughing. This one little story has so many comedic elements all blended so artfully together that it’s just a pure comic masterpiece. I mean, look at the ingredients. Take 1 trailer park, 1 barbeque, 1 pile of gunpowder, 1 lighter, stir in a whole lot of booze and then cook at 1000 degrees for about two or three seconds, and viola! Moron of the Day surprise. Ah yes, life is good.

It’s been a huge month for us interview-wise and all the interviews without exception came out just great.  The articles are all a fun read and the reviews are great as well.
