I don’t usually get political here but just this once I will because I couldn’t find a funny moron of the day story today.
Basically, I’m a conservative, but I’m also an atheist and I can’t stand people who let their religion think for them. I also believe in gay marriage and other individual freedoms because as far as I’m concerned the government has no business dictating what people can and can’t do with their lives. If two people love each other and want to be married, it’s no one’s business but theirs. So basically, I think for myself. I get all the facts and make informed decisions about things rather than just going off on emotional rants that make no sense and have no basis in fact. Some people would say I’m an independant or whatever, and that may be the case, but I don’t really care. I think of myself as more of a freedom loving common sense person. So fine, that’s what I am.
Now John Kerry has been pissing me off since he started running for president, but he’s completely gone over the edge now. He’s trying to blame Bush for not securing some 380 tons of explosives in Iraq. He’s been hammering on that for days now, despite the fact that there’s been no evidence whatsoever that the explosives were even still there when we got there. And on top of that, he’s trying to blame Bush for it, like Bush is actually on the ground in Iraq doing all this stuff himself and it’s his fault they managed to sneak 380 tons of explosives away from the site before we even got there.
Basically the rhetoric from the democratic party in this election has gone WAY over the edge, and at times as even gone to the point of being treasonous. We’re in a war, and yet they do nothing but give aid and comfort to the enemy by constantly attacking our president and our cause while he’s in office and while we’re in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting against the exact people we should be fighting against – the terrorists. These people aren’t just Iraqis who don’t want us there. The terrorists have come in from Iran and Syria and Jordan and wherever else to fight us there. So that’s where the real war is, and I’m glad it’s there instead of here. The democrats have gone so far over the edge as to have shown themselves to not only be completely rabid and totally lacking in any sense of ethics, but they have also shown the fact that they are completely unable to look objectively at facts that are presented to them. They hate Bush so much for “stealing the election” in 2000 that they’re willing to say or do anything it takes to get him out of office. Does that really sound like the kind of people you want in charge of your security? Is that the kind of people you want making your financial decisions and decisions that could ultimately affect how we live as a people?
John Kerry has done absolutely nothing except to criticize the administration in the nastiest possible ways all throughout this election. All that time, he’s never given anyone a real reason to vote for him by pointing to anything good that he’s actually accomplished in his last TWENTY years as a senator. What’s he done except to vote down funding for the intelligence community, vote against military projects, and vote against the first 87 billion supplemental for our troops? Well my guess would be that he’s never had any problem voting for pork projects in his home state like the “The Big Dig” that is now billions over budget in and of itself. Basically he’s done nothing but bitch because he can’t point to anything really good and worthwhile that he’s ever accomplished. The only thing he’s ever really done is to come back from Viet Nam and accuse our soldiers of being war criminals. People claim those swiftboat ads are nothing more than a partisan attack, but when so many veterans are telling the same story about what he was like over there, I think the weight of the truth falls with them.
Kerry has accused the Bush administration of lying about the war in Iraq and called it the wrong war at the wrong time. First of all, everyone, including him agreed that Saddam was a threat according to the intelligence we had at the time. So I don’t see how he can call Bush a liar for going on the same intelligence that he himself saw and believed. The intelligence was what is was, and that’s what we went with. Frankly, I think if you ask all the Iraqis who had been tortured and mutilated and the families of people who had relatives in mass graves or who had women in their families who had been raped by Saddam’s goons, they’d tell you that it was the right war at the right time, and frankly it’s something we owed them since we got them to rise up during the first gulf war and then pulled out before the job was done and left them to be slaughtered by the thousands. So no, it wasn’t the wrong war at the wrong time, it’s the right war at the wrong time. It’s a job we should have finished back then, but didn’t.
Hitler said that if you tell a lie enough times with enough conviction, eventually it becomes the truth. Meaning that if people hear something enough times, they start to believe it. That’s the way the democrats work. They brainwash people by reciting their lies, half-truths and talking points over and over again until they become facts to those who are too lazy or weak minded to actually look into these things for themselves and find out what the facts are and what the real truth really is. The republicans have their talking points as well. It’s really just a part of politics and to be expected, but the difference is that the republicans aren’t mean spirited about delivering their message and most of the time they stick to the facts. Democrats will say anything it takes to inflame hatred against the republicans and the Bush administration and that’s not only wrong, especially during a time of war, but it’s divided the country right down the middle, all for their own political gain. They don’t care if the country is threatened or attacked, as long as they can bitch and twist every little thing that comes out of it to their own advantage. I mean hell, he even blames Bush for high medical costs when the fact is that congress has continually refused to pass tort reform and are basically nothing more than whores to the trial lawyers who jump on any little chance to sue the medical industry, or anyone else for that matter, and thereby drive prices up. It’s the same trial lawyers that drove the companies who made the flu vaccines here out of business and then Kerry bitches that it’s Bush’s fault that we don’t have enough Vaccine. Well Johnny, why don’t you look at the guy you got running as your vice presidential candidate. See that little sticker on his shirt that says “Hello, I’m a trial lawyer!” Maybe you should ask him why there’s no vaccine and why medical costs are so high?
I haven’t agreed with everything Bush has done since he’s been president, and I don’t like the fact that he’s so religious, but he has done nothing but act honorably and he’s truly done what he believes is best for the country. He hasn’t run his admistration according to poll results like Clinton did, and he hasn’t been afraid to make unpopular decisions and stick with them if he truly feels that’s the right thing to do. How many politicians can you really say that about? Can you say it about Kerry who’s a big gun control supporter and yet owns guns himself and even goes on a supposed one day goose hunt in a swing state just to try to convince people that he’s not anti-gun? No, I think not. He’s shown himself to be nothing but a lying and pandering ass and all the people around him have been the same way all throughout this process. He’s never given us a single real reason to vote for him and never given real specifics on his plans or how he’d pay for them. He’s resorted to race baiting, class warfare, pandering to special interests and just flat out lies to get the power he wants. I don’t want a man like that or the people who support him running a country that I have to live in, and anyone who can step back from the partisanship and rhetoric for five seconds should be able to come to the same conclusion. Don’t listen to what’s coming out of the politicians mouths, because that’s just being lazy. Get your facts from reliable news sources and other reliable commentators that will give you pure facts rather than coloring things one way or the other. Listening to and believing politial talking points and rhetoric is for the lazy and stupid. So don’t be lazy and stupid. There’s too much at stake.
