Hi B-Movie Fans
We've been on hiatus for a bit - with the SCREECH screening at the Bungalow Club (a rousing success, with repeat offenders in attendance!) and all that Jazz. But we're back in form - and hope you caught Henri (Gilles Marini) in SEX AND THE CITY (the movie). We'll be back at ya soon, with a brief memorial to a real B-Movie fan - Robert Salyer.

SCREECH OF THE DECAPITATED AVAILABLE ON FILMBABY.COM!
JAN-GEL & HILLBILLY MONSTER

Okay, guys - my apologies for these two. I know I'd promised reviews much earlier - but the truth is, there is not much I can say.
Dear old Ed Wood contract player Conrad Brooks has sadly tried to recreate the Wood brand of magic on a hand-held home video camera, dealing with uncooperative inexperienced performers, requisite bad sets - and fails miserably. Dale Clukey, a "real find" as Jan-Gel - a radioactive monster on the loose in the wilds of Virginia - looks better in the monster make-up than out of it.
There is such a thing as "good/bad"...and "awful/bad". The latter term is what this was, and in spite of the terrible quality and desperation displayed (the actors', not mine!) I gave it my best shot. Truly, I did. (You HAVE to believe me!)
These two DVD's were barely watchable but I had to do it for B-Fans! Ah, the scars I will wear in my quest!
Let me also close with this: on the second DVD, "Hillbilly Monster" (allegedly a sequel to "Jan-Gel"...oh, dear) there was an exciting extra feature "Grandparents from Outerspace" again starring the prolific Conrad Brooks as, I assume, said grandfather in this fine production.
I didn't even make it to that one, however. I mean honestly - nowadays anyone with a home video camera can get a decent distribution deal.
I give these two mistakes a "Glammo BBB - B from Bottom of Barrel" - which I really didn't want to do. Sigh!
View at your own peril....and don't take the brown acid, man!

"PLAGUERS" STARRING STEVE RAILSBACK - COMING SOON!
Hey all you B-Heads:
I'm getting a DVD of Plaguers starring the always wonderful, consistently good and creepy Steve Railsback ("Helter Skelter", "Ed Gein"), written and directed by Brad Sykes, and Produced by Josephina Sykes. Brad and Josephina are up and comers in this genre and the work is worth seeing. I can't wait to get this film and review it. I've had to pass up chances to attend its screenings because I'm, always in - you got it - VIRGINIA!
Which brings me to my next post above...

We Love Debbie Rochon!

Our lovely Queen Macuzita in SCREECH OF THE DECAPITATED recently had surgery and we wish her a speedy recovery. She's doing great and will very soon be back on Fangoria Radio with her partner in crime, Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister.
I've known Debbie for years and we had a blast on the set of SCREECH! Keep checking back, as I plan on doing an interview with her when she's up and running again, full speed, about her upcoming projects (there are many!) and how she's doing now. Debbie and I will also regale you with stories of on-set mishaps that had us doubled over with laughter.
So, we love you "La Rochon" - and I'll be in touch soon!

New Stinkers Under Consideration! Updates! Gore Galore!
Hey All You B -Lovers Out There in Weirdo Land!
I have forced myself to sit through the "classics" JAN-GEL and HILLBILLY MONSTER, (as stated below) and those reviews will up and running as soon as I clean up the mess.
However, in discussing this fascinating genre with others, we came up with some classics that have a true odor about them. I am having trouble locating some of them, but full reviews will be up at some point - as soon as I can find the gas mask. Would love comments from y'all about them, if you've seen any of these quality productions:
NIGHT OF THE LEPUS - an Easter Bunny on steroids takes over a desert town and stomps Janet Leigh into the dust.
RAWHEAD REX - an Irish demon that looks like a bloody thumb kills David Dukes, and urinates on a priest as part of an ancient baptismal rite - (I am NOT kidding here!)
HIGHLANDER 2- THE QUICKENING - the worst of the series and even the kilts were boring. Not to mention what was underneath them.
THE PLAYBOY KILLER - talent-free, saccharine crooner Neil Sedaka has a bit role (thank God) in what has to be one of the worst - even by our standards - films ever made. Man kills women, poses them and covers them in wax. And that's really the highlight of this bomb. However, Neil Sedaka in a Speedo is about the funniest thing you'll ever see on screen.
Speaking of wax (were we?) TOURIST TRAP - a surprisingly good Chuck Connors is a demented widower who runs a store peopled by wax figures, luring unsuspecting travelers into his lair. (This was the real basis for the recent remake of HOUSE OF WAX starring Paris Hilton. Who really IS made of wax).
Our pride and joy, SCREECH OF THE DECAPITATED, with Debbie Rochon, will be available soon on FilmBaby (http://www.filmbaby.com/)! We've done everything except send in the actual films to be sold, so as soon as we do that, you can buy them! We promise our work to be 100% FREE OF NEIL SEDAKA IN A SPEEDO! However, the two girls in their bikinis are darn cute! And at some point, I will research what's left of my memory and come up with tales of what really went on behind the scenes...now, that's screechingly scary. (How about the first day of shooting, the caterers didn't show up, eh? The cast began to devour each other...)
And, we are adding some newer and more festive products to our line of SCREECH swag on CafePress. If you'd like to see something specific (from the film, of course) let us know and we'll add it to our list!
Thanks for your continuous support of our film, and this blog, and we look forward to hearing big screeches from all of you!
Love - Glamazon Red (The Pretty One!)
