In the cold, dead of night you traverse a lonely path, your only companion the silent and darkened woods surrounding you. Slowly the gnarled trees clutching at your sides begin to thin, their chill grasp gradually giving way to an overpowering sense of dread. Above you the clouds gently part, the moon slipping into view. Revealed before you in the ghostly light is a decrepit graveyard choked with weeds, its countless headstones crumbling into dust, tendrils of mist swirling about their ancient bases like spectral serpents waiting to strike. Suddenly the wind begins to stir, the bleak air surrounding you in a cold embrace and heralding the approach of someone or...something.

Just what have I stumbled onto here? You may be asking yourself that very question right about now. Well, this is a place where old, forgotten, nearly forgotten and dare I say it – best forgotten, movies go when they die. A movie graveyard. My movie graveyard to be exact. A place where I can dig up films that belong in categories best described as old, cheap, classic, cheezy and even pretty bad; and then visit them once again through the modern miracle that is DVD. Occasionally, films that may be considered "new" will be unearthed here, but for the most part I like the classics. And just who am I? I am Shadow, the guy who haunts the place and the caretaker of these cinematic treasures from ages past. I’m also a guy who has never really grown up. So grab a bag of popcorn and join me...

November 2, 2008 - The She Demons page is done!! This one was supposed to be completed in mid August, but after I got started on it, I just lost all interest in it and was consumed by other things that needed to be done. As it is right now, I want to work on some other things, but didn't want to leave this place hanging, so slowly and surely I got this She Demons page completed...although it took me two and a half months to do it! Now that it is finished, I am going to take some time off again. That is not to say I am abandoning the place, cuz I am not. I just want to work on some other things and the Graveyard was sort of all consuming when it came to my free time.

I also need some time to spruce up a few things around here, like getting those last few old style reviews updated. So to make a long story short, there won't be any new reviews around here til 2009. Even then, it might be a month or two before something does appear. For the next year or so, the updates around here will be even more sporadic, and we all know how irregular they have been up until now! The Graveyard celebrated its 4th anniversary a few days ago and after four years, I really do need an extended break. However I love this too much to not return at some point. So until then, thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back in down the line!

July 20, 2008 - Well, it has taken me a while, but the page for The Mole People is finally up. I actually had it done weeks ago, but sat on it so I could upload it at the same time as Silent Night Deadly Night, the killer Santa movie from the 80's. It's part of the Christmas in July Roundtable, hosted by Mark over at Darksider's Realm. Even that review was supposed to be uploaded two weeks ago, but my wife's health issues as well as my own sciatic problems delayed me. The next review is schedule for mid August, so until then I'm gonna be updating a few things around the place.

June 3, 2008 - The Trick or Treat page is now available. Only one review this time as well. No updated old ones, either. You know...the same old story.

April 28th, 2008 - Tentacles, my contribution to the Earth Day Roundtable is only about a week late, but it is now online. Alas, since this one is late, there was no time to update any of those last three reviews. I still need to proof read it, so there may be more than a few errors until Monday night.

It's time for your friendly neighborhood Shadow to take a break and work on other projects. So for now the Graveyard is...

On Hiatus til 09
