Another New Review!: Hey I'm on a roll! I finished my Assignment Outer Space review, so be sure to check it out! I'll be doing Bela Lugosi's The Devil Bat next, but not until after the next issue of Rogue Cinema comes out. I have too much RC stuff to deal with before then. I hope you all enjoy the review!

Facebook Fan Page: I've created a Facebook fan page for B-Movie Central. There I'll be posting news and updates about the site including new review announcements, server issues, progress updates on new reviews that I'm working on, etc.... I've also created a photo gallery of all the covers of the movies I've done reviews for here, which I'll keep updated as I do new reviews. So for the latest news and updates about B-Movie Central, go here and click on that oh so famous "Like!" button.

The New Review is Here!: After literally years, now, I'm getting back to work on this site, and that includes of course new reviews! This time around, I reviewed The Manster. It's a great old classic from 1959 with a two headed monster that has been paid homage to in more contemporary films, including Army of Darkness and How to Get Ahead in Advertising. I'm not sure how often I'll be doing new reviews, but they are coming, and soon. Each one is a lot of work and they usually take me several days of work to complete, so as you can imagine, I need a bit of a break between each one, but I'm back at it now, so expect more reviews sooner rather than later. Also, I have a new way of capturing video clips for the reviews that is far superior to my old video capture method, so you should notice a nice improvement in the quality of both the video and the sound. Again, I'm back, and it's good to be back. I really hope you all enjoy the new review, and please feel free to comment about it in the forums if you enjoy it.

New Review Coming!: Yes, I know it's been literally years since I've done a new review. My work on Rogue Cinema burned me out on doing anything else. That combined with general depression and other things in my life just took away my ambition for doing reviews that are this involved. However, after a nice long rest I'm happy to say that I've started work on a new review for The Manster. I'm not sure how long it'll take but I'm going to try to finish it up in the next day or two. I've got the page set up right now, but I did some upgrades on the server today, and it didn't like the PHP upgrade, so it took up a lot of my day. My plan is to actively work on it tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to get all the way through it and get it posted, and that it'll also lead to more. After I get this one done though, I'm going to look into doing a little work on the site. I'm going to be getting rid of the merchandise shop and seeing if I can find any new modules to add that would be interesting or helpful. Also, please make use of the forums. That's what they're there for. :) My RC Articles page has always been updated, and my blog is always an interesting read, if I do say so myself. So things have been maintained here, and new things will be happening. I've also re-added a story to the articles section called The Night Audit that I wrote back in 1999, and another short narration called The Sleepless Night that I wrote a month or two ago, and I've created a new poll as well. B-Movie Central is back! The sleeping giant is awakening once more! |

Changes to Registration: I would like to encourage all of you to register and make use of the forums. However... Due to some individual's desire to mess things up for everyone else by spamming the forums repeatedly by registering multiple accounts and posting under a variety of different user names, I've had to make some changes to the registration process. To that end, I've disabled the ability to register user accounts using any of the big web mail providers. If you want to register, you're going to have to use your personal e-mail from now on. Your address never leaves this site and will never be sold, given away, traded or anything else. I'm sorry I had to do this, but it was necessary. If this continues on different web mail providers, I will block those as well. I've cleaned the spam out of the forums, so it should be a more pleasant experience for you all now. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. I wish I didn't have to do it at all. I prefer to use my webmail for registrations too, but once again, the spammers have ruined it for everyone. |
